He’s a douche, which you expect from musicians. But what makes Moby so uniquely hateable is that he’s a holier-than-thou sad sack douche.

it definitely looked like an unbrowned chicken thigh at first glance

Ah, gotcha. Would it work the same to tape the outside, glass the inside, then bondo the dip between the original shell and the new glass?

putting the glass fabric on the outside surface seems... backwards? You end up sanding it all off

that’s... not what that word means

edit- I fucked that up. He’ll know his per-room rate after each room, but not why one room pays more than another

It’s the closest parallel I could come up with to your painter:builder example, where driver’s work is a small part of a larger business venture that requires multiple services. It was meant to demonstrate that your analogy doesn’t make sense.

If we’re going to pretend drivers are independent contractors, and lyft is just piece of facilitation software, then the driver deserves to know what that piece of software is costing them.

I’m not sure that analogy holds up. The painter’s involvement in your project starts and ends with painting. He know’s what he’s charging you, and thus can work out his margins.

This is interesting... I didn’t realize these were so cheap on craigslist. Any chain issues on the 3.0? Given that they’re on the back of the engine the stakes seem higher. Or other common things to look out for?

I cannot understand how anyone could look at C&D’s extremely clear diagrams and come to a conclusion this wrong.

I can assure you that if Obama pulled this same bullshit, all the veterans who fought alongside the Kurds would be equally pissed (let’s be honest, more so)

I think the resistance is more around the notion that we should do anything about it.

I assumed the crankshaft would contribute some, but yeah, it’s probably minor compared to the wheels

This is the right idea, but I think you’ve got the output backwards. Gyroscopic forces from a spinning engine tend to make the bike more stable, and thus more resistant to quickly turning in.

It has an IMU-equipped Bosch traction control, roughly equivalent to what you’d find on the R1 or Panigale, only more effective because it doesn’t have the delay that comes with adjusting timing or fuel.

Is Anderson the supplier?

I’m making a wild-ass guess here, but I’m not sure that first statement is true. It seems like intelligence and technology progress each other, in a feedback loop.

Yeah, doing an even wider angle lens instead of a 2x was a seriously annoying move. Literally nobody is asking for a wider FOV on an iphone camera. It’s already way wider than our eyes, or typical dedicated cameras.

A boring-ass SUV, two old shitpiles, and an overland truck.
