why does James Corden wear the top button of his polos closed? Is he trying to look more like a teddy bear? Such an odd look for a non-skinny dude.

damn I hate those things

I wish I could get more excited about this, but MX and trials are about as good a use case for (current state) electric propulsion as you could ask for.

Uh, the 4runner is like 10" wider and 1000lbs heavier than when it was introduced. It’s bigger than an 80 series land cruiser, an entirely different class of vehicle.

I’ve heard WFO a few times in reference to bikes. There’s even a beer named after it. Doesn’t lend itself to non-acronym pronunciation though

But tesla has already studied the ways they’ve fucked up, and is presumably in the process of rectifying them. I’m not seeing where the potential for a leapfrog is here

This is less about the youths, and more about the Transportation Design establishment’s long history of being allergic to anything resembling critical thinking. Trans designers are trained as stylists, and the prettiest sketch always beats the best idea.

I wonder if the refurbs are more solid that the originals. Mine developed a rattle in one earcup and I’m dreading doing battle with sony’s warrantee trolls

Ah, thank you! I was confused by Kristen’s referring to the RF’s buttresses as head fairings. Or mentioning head fairings at all because this article is about flying buttresses made of glass.

Clicked through the link, still have no idea what a “head fairing” is, or how it’s different from a flying buttress. And a 3mm wedge of glass is supposed to provide rollover protection?

basically half of males under 25? it’s weird to me, but really common

It makes you wonder if this isn’t some diabolical marketing plan, where they add breakable shit to the new ones to A). Keep people on a 3-4 year upgrade cycle so they’re never out of warrantee, and B). Boost the revenue stream of dealerships that have to fix these.

only for decoration, yall

Yamaha R1. When you DD a 450hp sedan, no car is going to be that fun

...with helicopters and sharpshooters

If the new one had the rear haunches of the current one it’d be perfect. Taking them out makes it super slabby/blobby

The C-pillar is too big, but more than that, it blends into the wheel arch too directly. You have this nice crisp reflection along the boneline (by the handles) and then BLOMP

I wonder which is more fun: Refurbing a 34 year old R12-based AC system on a $3000 car, or communing in stop-and-go traffic in 90º heat with leather seats?

Can CIWS not hit stuff that is sea-skimming? It’s kind of odd that the article doesn’t give an overview of how it fits into the ASM / counter ASM arms race

So a good ‘real world’ test starts with a context you’d almost never find yourself in in the real world?
