Yet... all the focus is on banning one form of “assault” rifle, which as the FBI points out figures into the tiniest fraction of all violence.

Meh. Agree with the principle, but the frequency with which the number of rounds required to stop the threat juuuuust happens to equal the number of rounds in the officer’s weapon is... interesting.
Huh, never thought about this. It’s easy to assume that longer lasting=better, but not when ‘long’ is still shorter than the lifespan of the product, and the alternative can be cheaply replaced.
It was great while it lasted, but that time is over. WTF was that Alta non-review?
The Dino was a beautiful car though, and the 308 had magnum PI. It’ll probably see some bump, but it seems tough when the 355 is so similar but much much prettier.
Most fun stuff is a little dumb.
Ah, I see. Totally agree then. It’s just that to a lot of people, ‘spring compressor’ means that sketchy thing they loan you at autozone, the one looks like it’s about to break at any moment. So they avoid them altogether.
You use the weight of the vehicle. There’s debate about whether it’s safer, but it certainly looks like it. There are YouTube tutorials (for toyotas anyway) that explain it better than I could.
DEET is good. DEET that you can apply without ruining your sunglasses / melting your clothes is better. THEREFORE: fuck this stuff, buy ultrathon in the squeezy tube.

The A-10 has plenty of weaknesses. IMO, it needs to be kept around in spite of them, until we find a suitable low/slow replacement.
Edit- I should really read the other responses before I respond. Don't mean to dogpile.
Haha, it really is impressive.
I think it’s telling that they can so completely miss the point. When Tesla made the S, it had a ton of features that other cars didn’t. Of course the big 3 can replicate something that already exists. That’s easy.
The memories of all the quirky, terrible, tube-frame electric cars are still too fresh.
The thinking is that the ring material expands more toward the inside than the outside, making it ‘chubbier’, with a smaller hole. I don’t think geometry supports this though.
They would probably do a metal coating on the existing part, which might not change the structural qualities of the part much. They can also go thick enough to give it that cold feeling that real metal has.
I was going to be all ‘GOOD IDEA BRO, GRAB HER BY THE CHINGUARD AND YANK HER NECK AROUND’
I’m for closed primaries, and caucuses look like calvinball to me.
It’s weird to see live footage that smooth. My brain starts searching for CGI tells, but there are none to be found!
Oh fun, Tav is doing repeats of his content-free articles now.
