Yeah, I think the bigger opportunity is to make electric bikes that fill the scooter niche, without looking like a scooter. It would help sidestep some of the unfavorable cost/performance comparisons with ICE bikes.

Serious (and possibly stupid) question- How feasible would it be to field a bomb-truck blimp?

I’m totally with you on the ridiculousness of us not having an economical CAS asset with a solid loiter time. I harbored a secret hope that the AF would temporarily drop its obsession with burning money and start arming T-6A’s or Tucanos but we all know how that went.

I’m gonna go ahead and break with the chest-beating jalop orthodoxy here: Fake engine noise is an objectively good thing. It gives you the experience you want, without annoying everyone around you. It lets your car sound sporty when you’re driving sporty, without constant droning when you’re on a long highway trip.

Casey McPerry’s instagram works because there is content worth looking at in each photo. The instagram collage thing is annoying because it’s a shameless grab for new followers (/impressing your boss) at the expense of your existing ones.

Yes! I’ve always enjoyed these columns, but they do feel a little fluffy.

So much this. The people saying “Easy, just don’t lower the standards!” are overlooking how political chain of command can be.

I believe it’s the former. Like the switch can be OFF -> ON -> PRRRR

That looks like pretty carefully aimed fire, actually. He seems to be aiming for the tires, and judging by the way the car randomly spun-out, it just may have worked.

As great as it is someone is making good looking gear for women, this kevlar-lined jean thing needs to stop. Lots of companies are doing it, and they haven’t caught on because they are unbelievably fucking hot. Like flannel-lined jeans hot.

I deleted it because I didn’t want to create an identical dialogue to the one you had with the other dude. No trolling intended.

Like the other guy said better than me, police are trained to stop the threat as quickly and easily as possibly. That means shooting center-of-mass, until the threat is clearly no longer a threat. That usually results in death, but it’s an important distinction that killing is not the goal. If it were, the ground

edit- Disregard, somebody said it better than me.

It’s not.

This is exactly it. The right way to do it is to make the posers pay for the features the enthusiasts actually use. Soccer moms paid for locking diffs in land cruisers, and they were fine with it.

This close-cut spectrum of models worries me. People groaned about the Cayenne, but Porsche stayed honest enough to have a clear delineation between enthusiast/wanker models.

Don't feed please

Yes! More cheap stuff, more technique.

I've started to wonder: Maybe BMW isn't BMW anymore. Maybe Mazda is BMW now, and BMW is Curvy Mercedes.

Thanks for the generalities! :) it’s been fun (or humiliating?) debating with you.
