Not for nothing but I tend to call skepticism that is unhindered by facts paranoia.

If you’re listening to Le Batard for “scores and highlights” all I can say is “You don’t get the show”.

He took 5 minutes at the end of a 3 hour show to express his opinion.

This is a big freaking deal.

Get over yourself.

It boggles my mind that Ryen Russillo’s cohosts went in sequential order: Scott Van Pelt, Danny Kanell, Will Cain. No wonder he was arrested for wandering nude and intoxicated in Wyoming.

I absolutely love Le Batard, because he gets it. His show with Stugotz is stupid, irreverant, and not at all serious. Just like Sports. They understand that none of this stuff actually matters, and they give sports news all of the respect that it has earned, which is to say none at all. Instead they have fun, because

Oh absolutely. Empathy, open-mindedness, intelligence, the size of your amygdala, experiences outside of your bubble, exposure to other cultures and ideas, etc. are all critical factors.

That’s what I enjoy most about women’s soccer: the fans are happier. Watching the women’s World Cup was such a nice break from men’s soccer, and the on-pitch action is just as good. Is the agreement with ESPN just for ESPN+ or will these games be shown on television? If the latter, I’ll definitely be watching.

I’ve been making an effort to understand how these people’s brains work, and it all kind of makes sense given their upbringing and bubbles and where they get their “news”.

As a guy who certainly drinks dipshit IPA’s I’m going to say, not that second one...

The thing that gets me about all this is that I think he sincerely thinks this. It would be one thing if he were knowingly making excuses in a clearly ironic situation. But he really thinks it’s different. That blows my mind.

“a sanctuary city for the unborn”

It’s so baldly racist that it was skewered in the Parks & Rec episode “Born and Raised.” Poking fun at birtherism, Leslie Knope is literally told to go back where she came from.

Right? I mean, a cop felt his life was threatened and he didn’t unload his clip into the rent-a-cop. Unbelievable.

Because some people treat people differently when there’s a perceived power differential. They think the person has to serve them no matter what- and sometimes that’s the case- so don’t feel the need to be nice or respectful because why should they? It’s the other person’s job.

Because it’s a common phenomenon: people who think that people in the service sector are “below them”. They are often polite to people they deem are on the same social level and are prone to sucking up to those they think are “above them”. Very unpleasant people, stay away from them

I’m guessing because there’s a certain group of people who are generally respectful to their “equals” but love bossing around or degrading people they see as their servants - waitstaff, cashiers, people in a customer service position. Waiters get the brunt of it because they know they can’t mouth off to them and that

I think with service people, they’re usually strangers whom one often won’t see again, so this is the first place you’d likely see rudeness crop up, since there’s little at stake in that interaction.

Is being 27 and having never been in a relationship a red flag? It feels like only recently (in the last two years or so) that I’ve begun to take an interest in stating a relationship beyond hanging out.
