I’ll also bet that they thought Italian soccer was run the exact same way as American professional sports. They probably thought there were salary caps to artificially cap labor costs, revenue sharing with the “big clubs” in Rome and Milan and that losing meant that they get a high draft pick instead of relegation to

Not sure what you are referring to with “Italians.” Poch is from Argentina.

Unless everything written about him and everything he’s said publicly is 100 percent wrong, I would think that Poch would not be interested.

It’s been a long time coming. The GOP’s constituency is generally, wealthy, white and male and party’s basic underlying political philosophy is sympathetic to protecting its constituency, suspicious of the “others” and highly resistant to change.

As a minority living in Nebraska who has run across a similar type of attitude, I think it’s a passive-aggressive way of trying to claim that they’re ignorant and don’t know any better.

Because their target audience (old racist white men) are fucking morons?

As a fellow former journalist, I also think this is exactly what happened. Got to give credit to Alexander — he spun a pretty interesting narrative about the “dangers of online fame.” But then again, when you omit several key facts that destroy your narrative, it’s pretty easy to create good one.

When you’re psychopathic liar who has committed crimes all your life and never get scrutinized by law enforcement, you tend to think you’re smarter than you really are. You think you’re out-smarting the authorities and you get real sloppy about covering your tracks.

The take is also wrong. From the Sierra Nevada website:

Exactly. His teams back in the early 2000's were very heavily skewed toward established veteran players: Rich Gannon, Tim Brown, Jerry Rice, Rod Woodson, Bill Romanowski ...

I hate to bring the fucktard President into this but:

I was around that age in 1999. Did I watch the video because I thought she was smoking hot? Yes, of course. Would I have tried to hit on Britney or tried to ask her on a date? Nope. No way. I even remember having discussion about her with some friends when the video came out and we all pretty much universally agreed

Those statements would only apply to Supreme Court justice nominees because SCOTUS is the only court that can reverse Roe v. Wade. The case is controlling precedent and the lower federal courts are bound to follow that decision.

On my drive home, I was listening to an interview on local radio with Dan Wetzel, the Yahoo Sports writer who is covering the trial. He was asked what he thought the NCAA would do in response to the testimony in the trial. Wetzel just laughed and said “nothing.”

His writing on realignment and the sports rights bubble were both fantastic. I could stomach the “DPAB” schtick but once he went full MAGA, that was too much.

For my viewpoint, it’s definitely the later.

After acting like a partisan hack in a public hearing, writing a lengthy op-ed explaining why you are not a partisan hack in a partisan newspaper ought to clear everything up. Way to think things through, asshole.

This was my thinking back when Ford first went public — It was too easy - way too easy - to get story out of the newscycle with minimal effort. But the events that have followed make me wonder: are Trump/the GOP purposefully using Kavanaugh as a political pawn?

Obviously, there’s a big difference in results between a weapon that can kill and a written document. I’m talking about the front end — instead of intimidating a witness by threatening to kill (and unambiguously open yourself to further criminal liability), intimidate them to sign a contract to take your money. They

I read the Der Speigel article with some interest because one of the subheadlines I saw mentioned something about her NDA being voidable.
