Sadly, Android has become mainstream enough that idiots would allow that; I've never used an Android phone myself, but on mine there's a screen asking to turn on "PC mode", PictBridge, or nothing. I'm sure most people would probably turn on PC mode.

Someone could add a data line, put some sort of malware on it, probably wouldn't be terribly hard to overload the USB voltage, and fry your phone.

I guess so, I've just never felt quite safe using a magnetized tool on my computers.

But what about if you use these tools for computers? I'm sure that magnetized screwdrivers, pliers, and wire cutters probably won't be a good idea if you get it near a hard drive.

+1 internet for you. I laughed when reading this.

Legally in the US, anything you create is under copyright. If they were to distribute your files without your permission you could possibly send them a DMCA takedown notice, right?

Don't tasers have about 50,000 volts? I think it's the amps that kill, not volts.

Sadly, you're right. I don't think that federal courts would like that, though.

Per the 4th amendment, they can't do that though. If they do, they'll probably have some jail time, and without a job for sure.

Yeah, I can't imagine that many people who uses this will wash their hands right after they use that thing, and then sanitize the sink and soap handles.

I've been looking into something similar using RFID, if I had a desktop I'd buy it. :P

I see a very dangerous risk of cross contamination.

if you write your own code, anything is possible.

Yeah, the only mail client I've ever used was Thunderbird, and it's the only one I plan to use. < /mozilla_fanboy> (I guess that Gawker sites seem to think that Mozilla fanboy is an html tag)

I can't edit that post ^ but i found the source... I stand corrected :P

Uh, they have to release the source code, which afaict they have not.

This looks a lot like Thunderbird to me...

eh, I meant debit. With some you need a home number to verify, I know.

There are reasons people would need a home phone; for example, alarms need them, some places require a home phone for various things (Credit cards, etc).
