I got a VIP backlot tour at Universal Studios in the early 80’s and saw stacks — literally *stacks* — of those destroyed Chargers (along with rows of Dodge Coronet/Monaco police cars and a half-dozen bent KITT’s). At that very point I ceased to think jumping cars was cool at all.

He’s obscenely casual in all but a few. Again, the guy later used this very event as cover for a pre-meditated attack on Iraq, costing hundreds of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars but accomplishing nothing. He IS an utterly barbaric human being.

The casualness of his response to learning of a major attack on the US is deeply unsettling. Having later used 9/11 as a convenient rationale for pursuing his ideological goals, resulting in colossal loss of human life, I can’t help but think Cheney is perhaps the most evil American to have ever lived.
