The AV club does tend to like stuff off the beaten path, but it’s still a very specific path in it’s own right.

This is untrue because if he really didn’t care he wouldn’t have bought his wife that 2 karat ring after raping that girl in Colorado.
It’s going to be grand when they host the Chargers in Foxboro for the AFC championship after beating the Ravens and Texans
Basically The Super Bowl is catering to people like my mother in law. Love shows like the Voice and Maroon 5 and hate rap.
I heard you the first time. The OPs point doesn’t require any discussion in your book.
The difference is that Jordan wouldn’t be THAT far away and still be a sta. I’m just refuting the original comment that Jordan would be harrison barnes. Ruth wouldn’t make it past AA ball in all likelihood and it’s likely that no amount of work could improve him enough because the game has advanced so much.
Rest easy, those awards mean less than nothing.
In today’s NBA Michael would see the necessity of developing a 3 point shot and shoot 10000 a day until he was a 40% shooter from 3. He would still be the best all around player in the game.
So basically they hired a twitter/facebook commenter. I bet he thinks Lebron sucks too.
counterpoint: New Orleans and the Rams
There go the Redskins non existent Super Bowl chances.
one game in and it’s obvious he’s too good for college basketball. I can’t wait for kcyzewski to not give him the ball in a tournament game and for Duke to lose.
yeah, I’m just not a fan of people hating on the fact that certain teams spend more money to achieve it. I get that the playing field isn’t level, but I find that doing it a number of ways is interesting.
The point of the game is to win, there isn’t a prize for spending the least amount of money
Arguments like this prove to me that none of these people truly get analytics.
You disagreed with me and then agreed with me later in your post.
This is a fact. As much as their pitching is fine, their hitting needs improvement to be more balanced. It’s taken a career year from Yelich and Aguilar for the offense to be slightly above average. I think overall position players will command more money.
You know how I know they haven’t had many injuries? Because your third example is matt fucking albers
Right, but they knew that going into the year. It’s not like when Corey Seager went out or Dansby Swanson got injured. I mean if Nelson isn’t out they might not go hard after Chacin or Miley because their starters were about the same after Nelson last year if not a little better. I mean they are lucky the Cubs were…
Every move they have made is really shrewd and smart. Almost all of them have worked out perfectly which shouldn’t be discounted, who saw Chacin having a career year, Miley turning into Kershaw, a revitalized Cain, Aguilar breaking out, career years from Yelich and Jeffress. Not to mention all of their young players…
