That “not allow me to rot in the landfill of lost souls” makes me think he is not completely sorry or he is very ignorant of how serious his crime is. Dude needs to accept the fact that he is indeed a “lost soul”.

I think this is likely the perfect encapsulation of their daily life: She smiles placidly while he spins in dizzy circles until he throws up and she has to put him down for a nap.

Wow, this brings me back. There should be a divorced parent cooking show, but it only comes around every other weekend and some holidays.

Others have said it in the comments but it’s worth repeating. Domsetic abuse isn’t always visible. This perpetuates the stereotype of the wife with a black eye that she got “walking into a door”. The most powerful image I’ve ever seen about domestic abuse was a subway ad in Toronto. A family was sitting on a couch.

I’m having a real issue with the baseline message of “life can be a fairytale if you break the silence”. It’s a gross over simplification and whilst, yes of course, I agree that it is healthy and right for victims to speak out when they are ready, this slogan puts the onus on the victim to stop the abuser/abuse. Plus
