Whadduya mean big planes can't dog fight?!?!!?

This clearly has become a Zone of Danger.

Not to become one of those "armchair generals," but my best guess is that a victory would mean weakening ISIS to the point where they are no longer able to restructure. Although we are against Assad in Syria, I'd rather see us destroy ISIS, given a choice between taking out either of the two factions. I see in ISIS

If anything, this becomes a positive for the anti-IS movement. Obtaining combat aircraft that they're even slightly proficient with is a real amplification of threat, but there is almost no chance that they can defend that facility against an organized area denial strike. One or two heavy bombers preceded by an F-22

They're overrunning us General Kardashian!

This is the truth. I bought a car from a schoolmate my senior year (2000), the car was a majestic 1987 (i think) Toyota Tercel, stick, hatchback.

hes giving handsignals to the drone controller who is sitting somewhere watching through screens of the aircrafts sensors and cameras

because there is no pilot inside the aircraft but it is being operated by a person who is looking at a screen that has a feed from the aircrafts sensors and cameras who controls a part of the landing.

The UAV operator can see the hand signals... UAVs aren't 100% autonomous

What is seen cannot be unseen…

The USN already built a perfectly workable LCS back in the Sixties:

Google strapped their Trekker camera to a 10-year-old camel named Raffia and trotted it over a few sand dunes.

I assume it started with some flinging of pillows and ended like this?

shaft lubricating specialist?

What kind of consultant?

haha I share your affection for both aircraft

Maybe he meant to be sarcastic...the Apache is one of the more beautiful attack choppers in the world.

God damn did this post make me miss working on this ugly beasts.

As a retired marine F-4 & 18 driver with service in Vietnam and the first gulf, I will agree that this is the perfect weapons platform for deployment against the ISIS in Iraq and Syria, or any other place they raise their ugly heads. We need this weapon in this "War," and we need it yesterday.
