If you've ever played those naval strategy titles like Harpoon, you'd know the (virtual) horror of staring down not one but several hundred supersonic heavyweight ASMs fired from multiple vectors from Soviet sea, air and subsurface platforms all at once. :)

There's pretty much nothing the (simulated) US Navy / Allied

Your writing is more enjoyable without all the unnecessary (IMO) expletives :)

The content is impressive/awesome/badass by itself! :)

I'm guessing it's a BMP3. Those new BMPs have a 100mm cannon! It is capable of firing both shells and guided missiles, out of the same barrel.

That's hell of a lot of missiles!

One RMC on each wing means 32x laser-guided missiles.

Yes the Hydra-70 wouldn't do much against the frontal armor of an MBT but the precision-guided rocket isn't meant to be used as a heavyweight anti tank weapon (That's the Hellfire's job).

Regardless, I am guessing the HEAT version of the Hydra-70, if given the laser guidance kit could be effective if deployed from

Yep, there are often 'shot traps' in the interface between hull and turret, and penetrating (and damaging) the turret ring can result in a mission kill if it stops the turret from rotating.

With a machine gun in place of the toilet plunger :)

And if that's too complex to field-manufacture in a war zone, just find a way to shore up the underside of the chassis to absorb the recoil.

But imagine what you could do against beigemobiles during rush hour!

I need that for office warfare. Angry Birds are no longer effective against the pigs here!

I wonder why no one thought of this in Syria. This is not the only cannon-armed 'technical' in use there and none of them have any stabilization. Heck, just put stuff under the truck to prevent it from rocking with the recoil and the ZU-23 could then be used for much more effective aimed burst fire.

I think to be fair the scale of such aircraft may be overlooked by folks who are not instinctively familiar with the sheer mass of such machinery.

Perhaps a small section could be added at the end of your article providing a technical summary of the airframe in question would be helpful. Something like what wikipedia

I watched the video for all of twenty seconds and already I feel like I have been assimilated by the Borg, connected to a hive mind and trapped for all eternity in one of their Cubes.

I am certainly not a fan of the bloating of the so called "Mini" and I like the Honda N-One much more.

Oh my word! Best custom lighting and use of the Mazda 'happy face', ever.

Could be the perspective of the overhead cameras from a distance making the cars look like they're doing a snail's pace. From the car's POV they seem plenty quick enough considering the tight confines of the track.

Awesome pics!

Loved the panoramas especially that of the LCAC Bay.

I was like meh as the missile guidance system failed putting it into the drink immediately...

But then it ROSE OUT OF THE WATER MAJESTICALLY and continued to flail around in anger! That's totally hilarious LOL!

About as fun as my other naval weapon system fail - the botched torpedo launch that left the torpedo sticking

We are indeed paying a huge price for not having a replacement for the Space Shuttle program.

Early model B-17s were very lightly armed as well, lets not forget that :) Japanese fighters attacking early-war Fortresses could sneak up on the tail of the bomber unopposed as there was no tail turret.

I read a field modified gun position proved to be a nasty surprise for them! I long forgot the source of that story
