The fact that New Girl got totally snubbed this year is UNACCEPTABLE. Funniest comedy on TV, masterful performances and writing all around, and nothing?

No no no! Let her talk, she keeps digging herself into a bigger and bigger hole. It just brings more light to the fact that this trial was anything but fair. If she says enough stupid shit, someone is bound to investigate into her selection and the connection between her husband and O'Mara.
She creeps me out. 'George' this and 'George' that. It's unsettling how much she seems to identify with him.
In the first instance the defence you would argue wouldn't be self-defence, it'd be provocation. Therefore SYG is irrelevant.
Fighting back shouldn't be the first option if a retreat is at all possible, though. So if someone smaller and weaker than you is hitting you or starting a fight you should, if possible, walk away and then contact the police if you want to press charges.
I don't think that all domestic violence is the same, or at least we're using the term "domestic violence" as a catch all when it is a lot more complex.
I really do agree with everything you have written here. Just anecdotal, but I feel like all of the dudes I have talked to about domestic violence across the board (grain of salt, here, as these are dudes I am friends with and who are already decent guys) say they would just take the abuse and not try to fight back…
Believe me, I thought about it for a while before I wrote that item up, but the report is "they were hitting each other," and he declined to press charges. Not sure where I'm supposed to go with that beyond "UGH, VIOLENCE BAD."
I want to see a commercial where a woman running for office, reaches into the chest of Glen Beck and pulls out his still beating heart, all while talking about her ideas for implementing financial reform if she gets elected.
Sigh. That you were on here within 24 hours of the verdict being read making sure everyone knew the "appropriate" way to express their anger was something I found kind of gross.
I think people are having trouble wrapping their minds around the fact that the rule of law supports the aggressor killing the victim in the name of self defense. I know that I am. Wasn't Trayvon Martin the one actually acting in self defense?
To my 80's trained eye that looks like a Gunne Sax dress. That probably isn't helpful at all but, just sayin...
It's a lot less poignant if you play "Yakety Sax" over it instead of the heartstring music. Still cute either way, though.
Made more sense than 98% of the sports interviews I have ever seen.
Tombstone in 1881 actually had more restrictive gun control.
She is a dirtbag. I'm not advocating any actions that might lead her to physical harm, but I wouldn't mind her having her day in the court of public opinion. It isn't like she's just a juror who did an interview, she's planning to profit from her experience.
Karma got to O.J. and Karma will get to Zimmerman.
Yeah, accidentally on purpose.
Aaryn's parents misspelled "Aryan" wrong.
This makes me think of Debra Messing's tweet last night.
