Man I just ripped 250 dvds over the weekend... Had two dvd drives ripping and two computers encoding. They're still encoding actually. I tried Handbrake but opted for Auto Gordian Knot. It simply comes down to the fact that AGK does divx/xvid. I tried to like h.264, I really did. It came down to compatibility.

Thank You!!! I can't believe how lazy this story was... If they were actually serious about wanting to split wood they would be looking at mauls. Chainsaws cut wood. Mauls split it. Instead no: here buy this $500 wood-handled axe. I can have 20 fiberglass mauls for that much.

@iMattv4: No. Apple's Voice Control program has to be running. There are all sorts of problems with running voice activation constantly—heavy CPU usage, accidental activations, etc. Desktop computers with headsets still don't do it very well.

@iMattv4: Yep, activator is meant to run in the background so you can start apps from anywhere using different combos (like double-tap status bar).

@iMattv4: You can set voice control to start in Activator.

@OCEntertainment: Watch funny movies/tv. I think I watched 5 seasons of Scrubs after a big breakup. Laughing will make you feel happier. Exercise will too—and with exercise you'll be able to feel like you're accomplishing something.

Vote: Focus booster.

I'm changing my name to Dr. Larry Brilliant. Dibs.

I've already seen this room in MW2.

@Stephen Rice: At speed, you can't always tell whether a Cap means a proper noun or new sentence, and can't always tell if it's a period or a comma. This derails the train, since you will often have to full-stop, go back and check to make sure you got the full meaning of the sentence. Then you have to start again

Vote: double-space.

But do these toys contain lead?

What I want to be able to do is play music like airplay in every room I want, but without being locked into apple's realm.

@pierrebuz: PS: good idea on the bathroom tunes... It would be nice to kick off the day showering, shaving to good music. I hadn't thought of that and now I want it.

I've been kicking this concept around in my mind for a while. Does anyone know (other than airplay) of a cheaper solution? I'm leaning towards airplay, but not 100% convinced I want to make the down payment.

@Settings: They could use one of the other street-view competitor services mentioned. Or they could just drive by and have their own video recorder running and examine that at their liesure. Or if they were really motivated, they could figure out a way to conceal a camera to observe the owner's patterns.
