As long as you’re including Sim City you could also include Populous and Lemmings 2, a couple other clever, non-exclusive thinking games. I also have inexplicably fond memories of 7th Saga despite not getting very far into it — being able to choose between seven different starting characters, each with their own entry

If that couch could talk, it would say “killll meeeee”

Yeah, I may switch to Wild before long. I’m not sure daily quests are going to be enough, though. I saved up enough gold for something like 30 packs, entirely based on daily quests, and I got... a bunch of commons, a bunch of rares, and some little-used epics and Tyrantus. Since then, most of the packs I’ve gotten

In my mind, declining to make Quests into an Adventure - so you could guarantee that you would get them - was a huge mistake. It used to be that you could mess around with almost any deck type even if you were missing some core cards. You could play Pirate Warrior without Patches or Handlock without Jaraxxus; it

Nice spot for a Twilight Zone reference.

April 6 is tomorrow! Last warning!

First DLC will just be a rip off of that robot bartending game.

I sometimes feel bad for modern video game writers. It was a lot easier back in the day, when the only thing people expected characters to say was “It’s a-me, Mario” or “I used to be an adventurer, but then I caught an arrow in the knee.”

BioWare says it is consulting the transgender community

Exactly. We watched the fourth season just because we were in too deep to stop watching. At least the third season had a couple mildly enjoyable moments. (“Kneecap. Really hard.”) Pretty sure S4 had none.

Kudos to Burneko for shit-talking a current Deadspin ad. Journalistic independence!

You got out at the right time. The third season was garbage, and the fourth season was whatever’s one rung below garbage.

Yeah — liked the first season, loved the second season... and then the third and fourth seasons were some of the worst TV I’ve ever watched. I’m pretty comfortable skipping this fifth season!

Oh, the guards have air conditioning. Just not the tiers where the prisoners spend 23 hours a day...

Whoops, just realized I put the same link twice. Here’s the link I meant to paste, to the court’s ruling.

Yeah, I have really mixed feelings about it too. To the extent it’s a craft fair and an opportunity for the inmates to feel like members of society for a day, it’s wonderful. To the extent it’s rodeo poker...

The guards have air conditioning in their booth, and I’m guessing they don’t have to go into the tiers too much since everybody’s in isolation 23 hours a day. And I don’t think they typically wear heavy gear or the like, though I couldn’t say for sure.

And for more background — a court held a trial a couple years ago and determined that the heat on death row is inhumane. There were places where it would be 100 degrees or more for days at a time. The only way inmates had access to ice was if one of their fellow inmates brought it to them on that one hour they had

I understand where your outrage comes from. But the lawyers defending the suit charge even more than that - the NFL was represented by Paul Weiss, whose leading partners charge well over $1000/hour. And that’s guaranteed money for every hour they work. The plaintiffs’ lawyers get *nothing* unless they’re successful.
