"The weirdest sentence of the entire report: At the moment 29 US states recognize cheerleading as a sport."

This. In high school (early 90s), I was a varsity cheerleader on a competitive all-female large varsity squad (20 plus). We had no strength training, gymnastics class once/week during the "off season" only and were expected to perform stunts (tumbling and tossing people) on all sorts of dangerous surfaces - most

Good question.

Don't you love how people in their twenties refer to themselves as "kids?" I stopped doing that by the time I hit 21.

poor people unite!!!!!!

It is actually important to know which places have "good" slave quarters and offer the "best" tours. I work in the field and actually have worked at a historic plantation that is open for tours. Buildings beyond the big houses were rarely well maintained throughout time and there are few of them that exist today.

There's a theory that her people are feeding this narrative to the tabloids.

So long ago dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Dodai does yeoman's work, tearing down the tabloids each week so I don't have to subject myself to buying them.

Dodai, these are pretty much all of my feelings regarding appropriation and personal identity. Elements of my heritage (Onondaga) is not something you can just clip onto your identity like a keychain for aesthetic purposes while otherwise ignoring and marginalizing Native peoples.

Here is how it should be done:

Elvis was mentioned in this post. So was Al Jolson.

Thanks very much.

I think Jezebel has covered it a few times. Honestly, some Wikipedia editors creep me out. For example, I'm Jewish, so for awhile I was interested in how certain Jewish-related articles were being edited. By reading the talk pages of those articles, I quickly found out that there were two main types editing these
