That's actually the answer I was wondering about. People tell me Nascar culture likes these kind of hotheaded guys, but I did not realize they were fined. I do agree after watching it that the guy was basically walking into a bunch of bullets, but I also think Tony wasn't sorry he hit him.

Does anyone think Nascar and Tony Stewart deserve some of the blame? Nascar for allowing Stewart's road rage before on a dangerous track and Stewart for modeling shitty behavior for younger drivers? Not an argument. This is a real question.

I agree that it's crazy to walk on along the side of that track. But Nascar has obviously allowed this type of behavior from their drivers. If Nascar has been cool with it, then it's hard to blame a teen who has likely gotten all his ideas about racing and sports conduct from Tony Stewart and Nascar.

With his achievements and ability, Tony Stewart should have been the mature one here. I know Stewart will walk away from this with barely any punishment and claim accident, but he's too skilled a driver to say he doesn't know how that car responds.
