Speaking as a white woman in Asia, cosigned. Utter horseshit.

Well, that would be so offensive to the survivors and the family members of the slain, don’t you know? /s

It was a white nationalist. He put out a ‘manifesto’ on 8chan right before the shooting.

What I find amazing is that all sale and production of civilian vehicles was stopped cold in Feb. of ‘42. Apparently, there was a stockpile of about half a million new cars, but you had to get special dispensation as an essential driver to get one. No new cars at all were made or available until the war finished

He’s an actor being paid to do what the writers and director tell him to do, so it unfair to use a scene from a scripted show to accuse him of being creepy personally. What would that say about Anthony Hopkins?

She didn’t jump, she got fired for complaining about him- that’s why she got paid out. She was supposed to be on the show for three seasons and they paid her what she would have made if she hadn’t been fired.

There’s certainly an argument to be made for that being the best solution, but it appears that he kept everyone safe- dog leashed or in his trailer- and no one had a problem with it except her. The guy who got bit didn’t even want those accommodations and visits the dog in the trailer. Why does one unreasonable

He kept/keeps it in his trailer apparently.

I can’t find it, but I could swear that when the ‘multiple assaults’ tweet came out she quickly followed saying she wasn’t referring to work or something hinky like that.

There are a lot of pretty egregious grammar errors based on the sentence being slapped together or editing and not re-reading.

You are right, but you fail to mention that that asymptomatic shedding is often by people who are and have always been asymptomatic. They never know that they are potentially transmitting the virus- so, there’s not a lot anyone can do to protect themselves from the 4 out of 5 people who don’t know they carry the virus

Well, one, we’re not necessarily talking about U of Illinois. But if we were, that number is tuition only. You’re going to need to make rent, food, and pay for books and maybe transportation and additional medical insurance as well.

It sounds as though it has changed, but when I was in college in the late 80s, you had to be independent from your parents for three years before their income didn’t count on the forms.

My public school system is charging nearly 10x as much as it did when I graduated in ‘90. How many jobs pay 10x what they did in ‘90?

That’s both messed up and somewhat understandable. Even a lot of doctors and lawyers are going to struggle to come up with $25,000-50,000 a year (possibly more for schools in which that doesn’t cover books, food, and lodging), especially if they have more than one kid in college. As another comment mentioned, having

When people say ‘art’ is good or bad it is always subjective. The Oscars choose movies that many, many people agree are ‘bad’ and that history also decides were wildly undeserving all the time.

I hate to say this, but you should totally watch Titanic. It’s hilarious: saccharine and cliched as they come. It’s bad movie joy and manages to continue being incredibly bad and hilarious throughout its bloated screen time. I saw it in the theaters and I still don’t understand why everyone wasn’t laughing with me.

Aww, thanks!

So why have they apparently failed so spectacularly to protect women as much as they are protecting men?
