In most cases, it sounds like the kids had no idea a crime was being committed or were in any way involved.

Do you think this was her first match? She came in 4th or 5th at the state championships- she’s wrestled a lot of boys and they seem to have been able to deal with their overmastering hormones.
oh for God’s sake! yes, in fact, if you consent to make cakes for everyone except one group (say LGBT) than there’s prejudice problem. If you agree to make physical contact with all but one group, there is a problem- and it’s not their problem. This is not sexual touching. If he has a problem with it, it’s his…
I immediately thought of the Knox case too. It’s terrible for the families, but that absolutely can’t trump leaving an innocent person in jail. At least in the Kercher case they know that the actual murder was jailed (though I think he’s out?- which is awful).
And that would have been fine. It’s not clear that they had that opportunity- is the championship for girls already going? In any case, they could still compete in this championship and it’s the one they chose to compete in.
This is slightly tangential, but I’ve seen it several times (Darla Shine most recently) and it really enrages. She was born in 1968, one year after me, and claims that she had measles, mumps and chicken pox as a kid as did ‘every kid she knew’ and was fine/built up immunity to other things (like cancer!) that way.

I believe that it has been part of the vaccination schedule since the late 1940s. It was and is combined with pertussis and diphtheria and is given to infants. Likely, (not a doc) they always give a preventative booster when you get a puncture wound because it is not a lasting vaccine and needs to be updated…
I’m assuming we’re going to see a good jump in ‘medical exemptions’ and they’re going to be coming from a small number of doctors. I hope they then get thoroughly investigated and thrown out of the profession with some possible jail time. That should dissuade others in the future.
As they have refused further vaccination, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re on their forums or whatever saying, ‘see, he lived. It wasn’t that bad, you don’t need to vaccinate.’ I hope the poor kid isn’t permanently physically compromised- but don’t have all that much hope for that.
I can’t imagine that poor kid won’t have lifelong consequences from this. I fear cognitive impairment for one.
It seems that it would fall within precedent to require vaccination of children full stop. We require seat belts and car seats and those do, on very rare occasions, arguably cause worse injury or death than not using them would have. People are not legally allowed to decide not to use them because, ‘they’re my kids…
So, in his mind and yours, he would beat her- just as he has presumably beaten other boys. There is nothing about the differences between men and women that make it inherently more dangerous for a trained boy to wrestle a trained girl than two girls or two boys wrestling. As the girls came in 4th an 5th at the state…
He’s a wrestler, therefore he’s consenting to physical contact with people he doesn’t know- it shouldn’t matter whether it’s a woman or a man. What if he said he was only willing to wrestle other white people- would that be a problem?
I agree, except that the republicans DO consider this important- it is in fact imperative to their party that nothing like this passes.
It very much varies. Until fairly recent times the Catholic church did not consider even a still born an ensouled person and they could not be baptized or buried in consecrated ground. That’s how much doctrine has changed in reaction to anti-abortion extremists.
Yep, on average, women ovulate about 14 days after their last period, so if you miss your period and test the next day, you’re actually two weeks pregnant, not a month pregnant, even though that’s how it will be counted.
The way they have been able to spin ‘late term abortions’ to make the abortions almost everyone actually agrees with their wedge is appalling.
Yes, but it’s not even a fetus at 6 weeks- it’s an embryo still. By 6 weeks it’s only just starting to have cells differentiate to become different organs.
