Yeah, that’s over the top, but paying for a food truck lunch order with quarters should have been appreciated. We all acquire change and businesses are constantly having to go to the bank to get more rolls to make change. Most markets have change machines just so people can get rid of their accumulated change, don’t

I’m thinking he’s got a relative who likes to acquire and give the coins. It was pretty common when I was a kid for grandparents in particular to give a kid a ‘special’ coin like a fifty cent piece or a dollar coin. $2 were a big deal too. To be fair, kids generally did think they were cool because you didn’t usuually

I have a corner shop that I always take my change to. The first time I was just trying to get rid of a purse accumulation and asked if it was ok, They asked if I had more they could exchange for dollars. Having worked in those kinds of businesses myself, I know running low on change is always an issue and change/ones

Change (except many, many pennies) is never a problem and usually warmly welcomed. Businesses, especially food and convenience stores, are always running low on change (and ones) and usually appreciate people who pay with either. This guy was looking for a reason to be a horrible racist and assault her.

Racism does not only exist in the US by any means.

My understanding is that this, in part, is why suicide prevention lines are so important. People get blindsided and can act very impulsively, but if they can reach out to someone, they can get the emergency mental help they may need.

And those women DID get praise and often amazement for coming back after having a kid- basically based on how famous they were before and what they did after. You keep saying that no one cared about Clijsters, which is complete bs. It was all the commentators talked about at that Open and was a big deal as it hadn’t

Serena’s religion had nothing to do with her complications, poor medical care did. Clijsters got a huge amount of publicity and praise for coming back after having a child, but as she’s not as famous as Serena, it didn’t get out into the mainstream press to the same degree.

You’re nuts. The hospital and doctors would be LOUDLY calling bs if she were not telling the truth and based on her history of bloodclots and emergency surgery to remove them, there is zero reason to believe that she is making any of it up.

It’s an absolute crime what happened to Serena and it would have been a crime if it happened to anyone. She has a known history of blood clots and that that wasn’t something her medical team wasn’t looking for and even dismissed her symptoms was medical negligence of the highest order.

You must not have a very good memory, because that’s ALL anyone talked about during Clijster’s run at that Open and there were all kinds of superwoman type comments. Everyone talked about how amazing it was that she could comeback from childbirth and such a long break and win her (I think) third tournament.

I would imagine there is a fairly small number of people who must use straws and can’t use any of the other alternative straws. Maybe that group of people can get some kind of dispensation to purchase plastic straws or for shops to have them available to people with a disability.

If you live in a truly hot climate or run hot, freeze a water bottle (either a regular one or an actual ‘hot’ water bottle) and then do what I call, “teddy bear it” or hold it to your chest. It will get your sheets wet unless you wrap it in something (which will cut down on the cooling). It’s so hot where I live, that

The police have created a culture in which everyone is terrified of them and has zero trust that they’re not going to do them fatal harm for existing. They have created this situation themselves and I don’t know how the hell we’re going to fix it- certainly not under this administration.

“Now I’m going to briefly mention spoilers so stop reading if you’re going to see this”- lol. The entire movie was given away (including shot set-ups) throughout the entire review. Luckily, I had no real intention of seeing this.

Yeah, there’s nothing that makes women turn off like musicians (major record deal doesn’t hurt but is not necessary).

Are we supposed to thing this is bad or entitled? The guy’s has been playing jazz at least somewhat professionally for like 25 years- why shouldn’t he put out an album?

HAHAHAHA, no. I don’t know any man who would be willing to live in one room with a moaning, guilting woman for 6 years no matter how much or regular the sex was.

Seriously, how many people wouldn’t have the same response regardless of gender? I assure you it’s a small group. While it wasn’t her question, what we have here are apparently very poor people (6 years in a bedroom), one partner who hasn’t worked for 5 years and now works (‘temporarily’) only one day a week. There’s

Serena just won her first round match at the French! 2 sets- 7/6, 6/4
