It's an extremely unpleasant movie to watch, both aesthetically and in the subject matter. I can easily see people hating it.

There are only a handfull of episodes I wouldn't describe as really really good so unless you got really unlucky the show's probably not for you.

I'd say among like, 20-somethings it's pretty near-universally known but I don't think the moms have really gotten hip to it.

There are parts of Season 2 you can mostly skip but for the most part you absolutely should.
