I agree 100%. The problem though, is that sometimes there is another side worth giving some thought to. I won't miss cabs, but I can sympathize with how shitty it would be for the protections that exist for my job to just disappear overnight.

This isn't like 10% or something... I have had it at about a 500%+ increase after a game at Dodger Stadium. The thing is you take an Uber down for $30 and then when you try to get home it is $150. Not inclement weather or anything. That is pretty fucked. It is taken to an absurdist extreme.
