You brought up sperging-out over interest rates. I was addressing that.

Who the hell finances through a dealer?
I have actually. You know how much I "had" to put down to get a 0% for 60 month rate? Zero dollars.
Dude, you drive a 17 year old N-body with 200k miles on it and mismatched body panels. If someone told me that was a $1500 car, I'd ask how many 8 balls were in the glove box.
Your family income is less than 36k/yr?
Congrats on buying an old, used up car. Just because you cheap out and don't fix anything on your $1200 dollar Craigslist special, doesn't mean "it doesn't need anything".
It looks like your pretty typical PWT-mobile driven by a Walmart-night stocker, so yea, methmobile. Nice pep boys hubcaps.
Most adults don't want to appear that their primary sources of income are methamphetamine and public fellatio. A $1500, 17 year old Pontiac doesn't do much to dis-spell that.
Unless you're rocking a ~535 credit score, how much interest are you "bleeding" here? Just by checking with my CU, the highest interest rate I was offered was 1.9%, and that was for an 84 month loan. Anything less than that was .9% tops. Hell, most manufacturers these days are offering 0%.
Seriously. The biggest pet peeve I have with so many "financial" type articles on how to save money, cut expenses, etc is that they put absolutely zero value on time.
An unpopular car from a soon to be orphan brand, why were you that surprised?
Spot f'n on dude. I always alternate between giggling to myself and wanting to pull my hair out when I read all the "OMG, LEASING IS EVIL" posts on boards like this.
Given that 90% of the comments say exactly the opposite of that, you might want to re-read a bit.
This makes sense for "enthusiast" cars with a limited market and high depreciation, but really doesn't pan out as well when you're looking at bread and butter type cars. Looking at the current used market, depreciation really doesn't hit newer cars nearly as much as you'd expect for your run of the mill stuff.

I eat pizza with my dick.
FALSE FLAG.
Bingo.
The Tacoma is a 30k truck if you want back seats pretty much any way you configure it. Even if you go manual, 2wd, 4 banger, etc, you're still close to 30k. It's really odd that there's practically no premium in going to 4wd vs a 2wd truck.
What..the..hell is that thing? A crab?
