Returns? When did they leave?
Returns? When did they leave?
Given that I've seen 4 recently expanded families go buy these, I'm imagining it's not going anywhere. It's a prius. It's a station wagon. Jalopnik should love that shit.
It gives Buick/Cadillac only dealerships a "truck" division to sell. Between that and the corporate sales, it's got plenty of reason to exist.
It actually sells for about 2k less than a stripped Corolla, but I get your point. The thing is, you're not going to get bargain basement central european or third world interior materials in a car sold for the North American market. No one would buy that, so you get a mid range car in a tiny package. With those…
Ridgeline was DOA as of 2013, there's a new one coming out.
A tiny little AWD runabout with a turbocharged four banger and a manual gearbox, what's to hate about that?
They sell quite well around here. It's a well designed, completely practical and functional electric vehicle that can actually be used as a car, not a boutique piece like a Tesla. Why would they kill that?
But dude, according to Jalopnik we all want Kei cars, tiny hatches, and the MINI is too big! You should be rushing out and buying one of these!
What resources? It's an expedition with a fancy grill and interior trim. There's nothing to R&D or engineer in it. All it is is a nice profit margin booster for ford, why would they kill it?
Good call, why would anyone want a semi-exotic, purely ridiculous vehicle like the X6? More beige econoboxes for everyone!
Even 36 years ago, people couldn't spell "Ripken".
Eh, blame mid 90's tuner mags. That always seemed to be the parroted answer back then.
Reading jalopnik posts on life and culture outside of the US is like listening to third graders. It's really kind of funny how completely clueless most of these authors are. It's as if Europe and Asia is some sort of mystical fantasy land to them.
Wait, I was thinking the one about Turkish Prison sex..
Wow.
The gate pattern is the same standard (non dogleg) H pattern on every RHD car I've driven vs its LHD counterpart.
Plenty have gotten in on "show and display". I've driven 2.
You gotta realize "across the pond" is essentially one giant rust belt state. Europeans are paying decent money for US spec cars and bringing them back across the atlantic.
Chicken/Egg. The powertrain arrangement and plumbing on the R31-R34s basically rendered it impossible to run a LHD steering setup. Hence the car stayed in the Asian/UK market primarily.
