I’m not gonna wax poetic about this show due to my always doing that in these reviews; instead, I’m gonna wax poetic about Allison Shoemaker.

The thing that struck me was Ava’s problems felt a lot like the problems just about anyone who’s not entirely neurotypical have- “am I reacting the right way to this? What are normal people supposed to feel?” It hit pretty hard.
It should be that simple, but it isn’t, because some of those offended people don’t take the rejection of their views and desires as well as they should. Some of them seek out and say cruel things to people involved with the work, or threaten them, or in rare cases, do worse. Some people don’t know how to take ‘no’…
One thing I find so, so frustrating about the anti- and proshipper and anti-anti rhetoric is that *everyone* claims to be about ending harassment, only to aim harassment at anyone that does something ‘wrong’ to that community. There’s nuances to the attitudes that underlie the concepts of antis and proshippers, but in…
I thought that Adam Tsekhman did his best work since the nipple incident in this episode.
I wish I had a local establishment that kindly old Alvin Sanders was running so I could be a regular and be greeted by him every day.
Hey, please please please note that the link in there is a SCAM.
Cammy is definitely off. Her face is just too big, and has too much presence. She should have a similar muscle definition to Guile, but doesn’t. Her hips should be about 75% of her shoulder width. She should have a portion of Guile’s V-shape between her waist and shoulders, but she’s entirely vertically flat. And if…
That’s just German for “Die Suicide Squad”.
I read an article on another, more clickbaity site early in this run that laid out all the reasons that the Timekeeper statue in the middle was “clearly” Kang. The statue reveal at the end here made me think to myself “That’s not a Kang. that’s a Kang” Crocodile Dundee-style.
I thought the point was to make us think of Raul Julia in Street Fighter.
“It was Tuesday.”
Sure, maybe Mobius is a Loki variant. He’s extremely sympathetic to Loki, while simultaneously also being utterly fed up with Loki’s nonsense. But what if ... that actually means he’s a Thor variant?
(Bonus points if that’s true and his version of Loki is played by Luke Wilson.)
It’s Covid-protocol friendly, I’ll give it that!
Behrad is a candle because he likes getting lit.
There are times when we need to step back and appreciate the fact half of this episode is about a mad scientist and his army of clones turning people into monsters on an alien planet, and the other half’s about a 19th Century sorcerer changing reality into a cartoon and being defeated through song.
I made the intro for EVO 2019 and I feel really disappointed in myself it was 100% less radical than this.
I did! The names start repeating, but this is everyone.
Also after legit eating 6 (?) clones, he was still terrified of Sara, it’s beautiful.
So...someone invented numbered anime girl figurines that don’t give you an actual anime girl figurine and is also somehow worse for the environment. Cool. Coolcoolcool.
