I don't think emoting is necessarily the mark of good acting.

To me Reed only works as a fragile, abusive, cruel, bitter man who can't handle being beat.

It's weird that I hear people talk about Emma Watson as if she's some terrible actress. Is she limited? I guess, but so is every ingenue. I think honestly good casting and directing is honestly more important than good acting. And yeah, Watson as Belle is basically perfect.
