Tom is it you that put in my zip code or do the overlords of autotrader know where I live and that I really want a 2011 ‘stang.
Very touching story..well done. Now I have to go and read your other stories.
I think the Lexus is to blame not the driver.
3 year lease
Hey Robb, got my sticker- Thanks
I will never buy a vehicle from PA, or CT that is body on frame. Both states use dirt mixed with salt so the dirt sand blasts the frame and the salt turns it to rust.
If it was still in its track configuration I would have NP’d it but a half arsed return to street made me CP it.
At the time I was coming out of a ‘82 Sirocco and wanted a Corrado as it was the successor. The ‘91 16V was no where near the g60 in performance and the handling of the 8V was the same, in my opinion at the time, as the 16V. Today as an OFWG I would agree with you but now I’m into traditional Hot Rods not pocket…
No, I was ready to pay more for a g60 Corrado but in my opinion at the time the 16V was not worth the big price difference over the 8V.
Its probably factory, all my new VW’s from ‘91 prior to 2000 had crappy paint jobs with overspray and orange peel. My ‘84 GTI that I bought used in ‘98 had tremendous orange peel.
I was actually at the dealer in ‘91 to get a Corrado, the one I wanted had a sunroof, but when I sat in it my head hit the roof (I’m 6ft) so I went with an 8V GTI as the 16V was too much for me to afford. I’ve had a ton of VW’s from my ‘83 GTI to Westies to original and new beetles,Siroccos to my last a 2000 Golf TDI…
I was thinking of the 4 light GTI’s that were ‘90 to ‘92. I bought a 8V new in ‘91 that was quad lights, forgot about the earlier GTI’s with two headlights. Yeah my 91 was worthless in ‘96 when I traded it in for a VR6 Passat.
Yep more confusion for the over 70 crowd.
Wait, the A2 was still a new car in 1991. Do you mean A1?
