Gotta look fabulous for the apocalypse... I meant to say permanent marker, but said sharpie and was careless at grammar checking.
In addition to all this, I added a compass, cheap multitool pliers, dust mask, nitrile gloves, permanent, TP, and a sharpie for leaving msgs.
Ok, insurgents might be the wrong term, but we haven’t had too many land battles involving only heavy armor from near-peer state actors recently. When I think of who’s taking out armor nowadays, it’s usually guerilla fighters in urban or some kinda asymmetric warfare. They’re generally challengers to the local gov, so…
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. The operators could be riding in a MBT or APC just a mile behind this RC “point man”, which would take the initial fire and expose insurgents.
I’m old enough to remember a lot of patriotism in buying crappy small GM cars over small efficient Jap cars. Admittedly I had a stick shift Cavalier station wagon back in college. It actually wasn’t too bad...
“Keeping Portland Weird” I guess...
it contains big furry hats and arctic survival bikinis...
A huge fake chrome blingy lens means a future window smash-n-grab. I’ve bought two G1-W in standard black for about the same price because they’ve been the standard “good” dashcam for the money for many years. I’ve bought other cheap ones and can honestly say the G1-W is actually really good.

Fuck practicality. Image is everything in uh-merica...
Looks like a silver painted beach ball covered in AOL CDs...
No, here’s the best used Corolla video...
Another “tail-sitter” RC concept, but with multiple engines
As an RC enthusiast I can tell you that the hobby is going toward electrically driven multi-rotors and EDF electric ducted fans, due to low cost, simplicity, and rugged reliability, so this darpa concept makes total sense. It reminds me of this video, but without the ducted fans and hybrid turbine generator.
Seriously, what’s with the radioactive “backpacks” with the gold fringe?
Oh snap! I didn’t realize that’s why I keep replacing floor mats. All our cars are stick, but I guess having a wife that can and enjoys driving a stick is worth a few floor mats...
IDK, there are a lot of new stealthy and long range weapons being developed and aimed at CBGs now and they’re cheap enough to mass produce. Small cheap carriers with autonomous aircraft is probably a better idea.
Well there are near-peer-state actors that through cheaper micro-electronics, hacking, and industrial espionage are developing long range, hypersonic, and stealthy anti-ship missiles. Not to mention cheap and very quiet AIP submarines, super-cavitating torpedoes, long range stealth aircraft, and new detection methods…
An unabused Prelude is a good choice. Not terribly fast by today’s standards, yet very fun in the corners and crazy reliable. I feel weird being middle-aged and still daily driving my Prelude, but at 20 yrs old the thing refuses to die. Except for fluids and consumables it literally still runs with all the original…
Almost sounds like some heavy metal drum solo with guitar...
