Imagine how great this country could become after a dozen years of every citizen who wants to go to college can do so for free.

“it’s something we “real” black people face every day when it comes to having an “ethnic” looking or sounding name on one’s résumé or job application”

While I understand the desire to include the concept of permadeath, I think that it’s something that would immediately render a game unplayable for me. The fact is that it takes a little time for me to get used to how a game plays... I don’t like the idea of being tossed into a game where the learning curve is so

However cool a computer that thing is, it’s really really clear that it was never meant to actually set up and shoot like a rifle. The shoulder stock is set too long and the guy carrying it is always hooking it under his arm. It would kill you to shoot a 50 cal AMR like that: it would literally jump out of your hands

I find trash-talking to be generally hurtful and abusive, even among friends. It can be taken as bullying. I mostly don’t use it and I don’t like being in situations where I feel like I’m being forced to use it in order to fit in. People who are too liberal with it don’t stay preferred friends of mine for long.

I’m hopeful that Gawker (the site, rather than the company) gets capped in this buyout, along with Deadspin and a few others, but I will genuinely miss Kotaku if you guys get altered. The world can do with fewer shit piles like Gawker, but you guys here are one big ray of sunshine in my day. They deserve what’s coming

This game is sounding better and better to me all the time: I just bought a copy with the explicit hope that I wouldn’t run into anyone else... ever! The selling point for me of this game is most decidedly not the selling point of ‘Destiny’ or ‘Overwatch.’

“I still can’t tell what’s happening in most esports, but, damn it, I’m trying.”

Making a large day 1 patch could easily be a planned way of keeping the public somewhat in the dark about the final product release. In our day and age, people are so goddamned impatient (and entitled!) that they expect to open Christmas presents on Christmas eve simply because their self-control is too limited to

I must be getting old. I’ve read the articles about this game, watched it go into release and paid attention to the youtube clips and on-line memorabilia... and I don’t get the appeal. I didn’t much like fighting caffinated rodents as far back as “Quake” and “Unreal” and I can’t see what’s going on any better in this

I think they didn’t actually play the game: the chances of coming up with a square map with no gaps when you’re actually playing to win are not very good.

This is fundamentally the problem with reusing an idea for too long; eventually all the ground is covered and the only hope for a continued audience is that tomorrow’s teenagers don’t remember what yesterday’s teenagers just got tired of. Comic books have lodged in the cult consciousness in large part because they
