Going right after work. 2pm can't come soon enough. although, I won't have my Blue Smash XL and will be 3DS less for a month it'll be so worth.

Surely you don't believe they could just do that in a day, and also pretend that it's the in game graphics for a game.

I know that, which is why I was saying earlier that the lack of aliasing on the model suggests that the in game one will be slightly different. But if you look at the previous game you'll notice that there is little difference between the in game and menu car models if any.

This was something they set out to "perfect" when they made the 5th game though. Making the paint look true to life was one of their major goals. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I think there's a good chance that it's a game asset.

I believe it is the in game model, but I expect to see aliasing when the model is put into an actual race scene.

I have done it in the past, but it depends on the circumstances for me. If I'm battling someone for an hour (in for glory like I did last night) and I'm having a blast then I can tell that it isn't their lack of skill that causes the death. But if its just some scrub trying to take me on and he does it a lot, you bet…

Looks like they finally hired some pros to do the faces.

You know what I realized? They made my kick ass 20th anniversary system and it can't even play the games that come from the system whose logos are all over it. What's up with that?! They better add support for it or I'm going to be sorely disappointed in them.
