The South has some of the most liberal parts of the country; I should know, I grew up in one of them. This is a country-wide issue and not unique to any state or region. Plus voter suppression is a huge problem in these states, and I don’t doubt that many of them would be much more blue if not for that.

OMG I LIKED THE SHOW BECAUSE EVEN WITHOUT THE 80S-NESS ITS A SOLID SHOW WITH SOME STRONG ACTING THAT TELLS AN ENGAGING STORY WITH RELATABLE CHARACTERS, AND WORKS LARGELY FOR THE SAME REASONS THAT ITS INFLUENCES WORKED, RATHER THAN RELYING PURELY ON NOSTALGIA
