I really must make an effort to get back into PGR4, it got shunted to one side last year when the games avalanche of Christmas began. I've still got Forza 2 to finish as well...

Pretty harsh words, but he is very correct on one point: Sony bullshit about products that are nowhere near ready for release to spoil sales on rival formats. They did it to the Dreamcast with the PS2 (promising Toy Story and Final Fantasy Spirits Within in realtime) and they've tried to do it with the PS3 by…
It's a shame that half of their games (Spider-Man 3, Bay's bastardised Transformers, Shrek the Turd) were all awful and yet were amongst their best sellers.
Oh good, Codemasters. Formula 1 is a perfect fit for their policy of churning out unoriginal sequels to games that weren't that good when they first made them on the PS1.
Maybe it's because I've worked for European developers but we always had a translator on staff and the various language versions were just a case of supplying the compiler with the right language file. Creating the Dutch version of a game was simply a case of pointing the code at the Dutch language file. Obviously…
@Replica23: Hey, I like playing Virtual Yard Work simulator!
I hope when I'm 70 I can still get sucked into games like that.
To be honest no matter how idiot friendly you make a graphics card box the average consumer won't have a clue how to install the card and they won't understand the dark satanic rituals needed to cleanse your system of a previous version of drivers in order to get the latest drivers working with a new game.
@El-Suave: Not necessarily, Halo 2 sold way more consoles for Microsoft than Halo 1 did. I would expect to see MS giving Gears 2 the Halo 3 hype this winter and given how effective it was last time it wouldn't surprise me to see Gears 2 shift a lot of consoles. They'll probably do some special edition consoles too! ;)
I like the use of square buttons, I don't know if that's just the designers taste or if it's a reference to the original square buttoned Famicom.
I've seen just as many glitches in GTAIV as Saint's Row. In fact Saint's Row's glitches were better as they never left me trapped and needing to kill myself in order to continue the game.
And PC developers claim piracy kills their sales? I think treating the customer like a criminal is what kills sales. Or at least it's killed my interest in the game. Off to [Play.com] to cancel my pre-order...
@Big World: Yes it is. They also only got running water 10 years ago because the water swirled the wrong way down the plughole and toilets weren't compatible with this.
It all looks great except for the main character's design. Couldn't they have come up with something that doesn't look like it's trying really hard to look cool and so therefore isn't? Thank goodness it's mostly first person!
Hey Sony, why don't we get the special metallic silver PS3 and why are you still shafting people with the Sixaxis? People want their "last-gen" rumble!
Look at the seat on that thing, it would be a bollock crusher I think. Unless you like riding leaning back, in which case you're in for lower back problems!
@Jon_Danger: Ah no worries. I dug around on their website and found a PDF with the specs which claim it's XGA.
@Jon_Danger: It's not, it's 1024x768, which admittedly isn't 720p (1280x720) but it's over double the pixels of 480p (640x480).
Typical Daily Mail scaremongering. As soon as I read she bought the DS to shut her kids up it became clear she's just another of the problem parents we have in the UK who cannot say "No" to their children or instil a sense of discipline or respect into them. The fact that they're all fighting suggests she hasn't…
You must have attached the wrong trailer, I don't see any Transformers, just a bunch of crappy looking generic robots.
