Simple. Apple wants people who need higher rez screens to purchase more expensive hardware.

I've had the iPhone version of this app for over a year. I'm a constant photograph, and I've only used this app twice. As long as you need a computer in between your iDevice and the camera, this will remain an expensive novelty. Get rid of the computer, and I'll gladly pay $50.

If Apple's policy goes through, it's likely that before too long the only content I'll be able to consume on my iOS device will be content sold by Apple. Amazon will pull their Kindle app and I'll no longer be able to read my Kindle books on my iPad. Netflix will pull their app and I'll no longer be able to watch as

I wonder what this means for something like the Xfinity App, where you purchase a cable subscription outside of the App and are able to view the content inside the app?

VOTE: Flipboard.

hmmmmm ... isn't the girl in the photo the same girl who "quit" her "job" using a dry-erase board a few months back?

Additionally, most real Christmas trees bought in tree lots have been grown in tree farms specifically for Christmas. There is no deforestation to populate our home with real Christmas trees.

The point has *never* been about keeping air transportation secure.

@JustinPM: At best, this move just amounts to sticking the collective head of the military into the sand.

@Dys: You are completely wrong about this. AirPlayer is a desktop app, and Apple hasn't (yet) monopolized application access to MacOS.

@NorwoodIsMyHero: That's because too many people have been conditioned to be sheep to whatever the government says.

We are beginning to see how thin the veil of "freedom" in the United States really is.

@Curves: Just because *you* are fine with it, doesn't mean others are. It's not so much that you have nothing to cause more than a second of note. It's:

perhaps if the government would stop using the Classified status to hide evidence of illegal activity, people wouldn't feel the need to leak classified material.

@Flackette Knits A Lot: Yes, but only for those few Christians enlightened enough to be able to reconcile Christianity with evolution.

@Odin: True, but it doesn't make the list of pros any longer.

Too bad. I *really* wanted to give Facebook my Gmail password.

@GitEmKelvarDave: the x-rays you're exposed to when flying pass through your body.the full body scanner x-rays are designed to be stopped by your skin, meaning they might subject you to greater amounts of radiation than by flying.

@vinod1978: Makes you wonder who the terrorists are.

@cpt0bvius: It won't take long before it's an arrestable offense to be anything but perfectly nice to the TSA officer.
