I actually find the thinness and sharp edges of the Magic Mouse to be an ergonomic plus ... since the edges are so uncomfortable to rest against, the mouse encourages me to arch my hand away from the mouse, and at no point am I resting my hand on it

Many *adults* writing in comments sections are even incapable of writing with decent grammar and punctuation!

I trust valets *in the closed environment of a parking lot*. On the streets of a busy downtown across several parking lots? Not so much

Other companies will also support an old product if the potential liability is high ... and flaming batteries are a really high concern. Even for a product long out of warranty, the company could still be held liable if that product caught fire as a result of a design defect an burnt down a house.

Sometimes, not everyone experiences the same problems. Could be that you don't have the right combination of circumstances to result in the battery drain.

meh ... Tech Support, in any organization, has no insight into corporate direction.

Apple almost *only* ever integrates existing technology into their products. It's *how* they integrate that technology that's innovative.
