My wife was waiting for gas at Costco when the car in front of her rolled back and there was contact. Older man gets out and immediately pointed the finger at my wife, in which point my wife points her finger at her windshield to let him know the whole thing was recorded. The guy backtracked faster than Lebron on a

It will just be a link to whichever dashcams the Inventory is shilling, there will be no testing or any sort of reviews.

NY has no concept of SYG whatsoever.

I watch a lot of the daily dashcam compilation videos. There’s always a few, where the poster comes off looking like the asshole, and you wonder why they decided to share it with the world.

Found Kristy Noem’s burner account.

With all the additional tech bloat that modern cars come with as standard or options these days, it baffles me that dashcams never became a standard feature of all cars. I can’t really think of a reason why anyone wouldn’t want one unless they are up to nefarious acts and feel that a camera may track them or something

I’ve had a (thankfully) small number of situations with other aggressive drivers repeatedly trying to cut me off or brake check me, and I pointed in a very exaggerated manner to my front dashcam and then did the fingers to the eyes and then to them “I’m watching you” motion...in all cases, they raced away after

That’s why dashcams, like body cams, are so valuable. Accountability on both sides.

I can’t count the number of times where something mildly insane happened to me and I later on wondered why the hell I didn’t do X, because obviously X would have been clear and reasonable thing to do, rather than Y, which was either somewhat useless or completely counter-productive. Things like this put us in weird

There is no way I am giving these people my insurance information.  I am not even getting out of the car.  I don’t call the cops and report an accident, I call the cops and report an assault.  I will wait all day.

A nice side effect of my dashcam is that is makes ME a more, umm, polite driver. Any time I get fired up by others’ stupidity, I think, do I really want to record my own aggressive response?

I wonder if the police would have shown up if she told them that they intentionally attacked her with their car, and that she was afraid for her safety.

Seeing the guy finally clock the dashcam and his face...

Yes - exactly. I’m kinda surprised there’s any outrage over this. His own statements that he was swerving “while putting on a seatbelt”, combined with his high BAL and his failure of the field sobriety test is pretty damning.

Wait a minute - his BAL was 0.067. The limit is 0.08 (at least where I am). And you can easily be impaired under the ‘legal limit’, and still subject to prosecution. So no - at least here - 0.067 is absolutely not a guarantee that the dude was ‘sober enough to drive’.

.067 is pretty high though... Might not be legal limit high, but I know myself and I’m pretty buzzed by .05, let alone .067. If the dude was swerving “putting on a seatbelt” something tells me this guy was driving impaired, which is still illegal. Yes .08 is the legal limit but you can still get a DUI while under .08

How long did it take to take that blood sample?  It was higher than 0.67 at the time of the arrest.  He’s driving after having been drinking, putting his seatbelt on while the vehicle is in motion.  Sounds like pulling over to investigate makes sense.  Refusing to perform a sobriety test kind of limits the cops

Can’t drive it or sell it. Love the car though!

You can get insurance for almost anything, its just a question of what your coverage looks like, and what your premiums are.
