I liked Prometheus and generally agree with your point. At the same time, it's not like you need some serious scrutiny to find the plot holes in that movie. They're big and gaping and all over the place.

I've never seen most of them all the way through, but I've seen a bunch of them (Weekend at Bernies, St. Elmo's Fire, Mannequin) in their entirety piece by piece.
