it is a thing and it does bother me. if they were as good as Aretha or Tina or Whitney, then sure. but they're so fucking not and i don't get why they're taken so seriously by ostensibly respectable critics.

this episode was so good that it will likely be what catapults CK from awesome to legend. it's the most honest and balanced portrayal of the troubled-kid situation i've ever seen on tv. he was fair to the mother, the teacher, the drug dealer, the various friends, the adult version of himself, even the dopey high…

yup, that would be why. this ep was harrowing.

Reed was such a cheeseball. He was dickish in his insistent "cred". Kinda like Kerouac & them..great, you had a killer scene going in your youth. Groovy. So did I.
