I know I wasn’t a perfect parent. Hell, I’ve relived some of what I perceived to be the most awful things I’ve done as a parent. I’ve apologized, over and over again. I can’t change the past and for the most part, I’ve allowed my oldest to treat me like shit for the last 12 years as a penance for my sins.
