I also suspect you make more than I do with locality adjustments.  I have friends and family who live in more expensive places.  My comment was more that they did not even give me a negotiation option for living here for 6 years.  Believe me, if I could live somewhere cheaper, I would.

I don’t use a browser for Twitter, I use the Windows app or the Android app. It’s disappeared on the Windows app.

Yeah, I tried this, and all I got was a “Sorry this is the rate other apartments in the area are at.”  Because Indy is f’in expensive.  I really wish I had started house hunting in 2019, even with no money to put down.  I would have been in an house in 6 months flat and gotten down payment assistance.  :(

Since Intuit bought Credit Karma, they wanted me to pay $65 for a federal return.  I have only 1 W2 (From the IRS, ironically), student loan interest, and then my retirement through work.  Oh, and they say my state is one of the free ones.  Riiight...  Went to TaxSlayer, 20 minutes, done.  My refund is shit anyway. :(

Actually, it is very difficult for me to confirm if I stepped on a spider.  14.5 meters is a long distance to see, even with proper zoom.  Using the lasers is easier, but tends to make your neighbors angry when you set the entire neighborhood on fire.

Never shoot your lawn with a particle cannon.

Yeah, it won’t slow them at all.  Just more accounts to create and hide under.

No.  Generally people turn into puffy pink clouds when hit with lasers, or crushed pulp from autocannon fire.  And well, most ‘Mechs have several circuit boards in them.

I got a couple from the Akibento/Loot Crate boxes.  Only one I hunted for was the Transformers Jetfire one, because it’s based on the original toy (Which is based on the Macross Veritech fighter toy).  I want to get the Optimus Prime and Megatron ones, but I’m in no hurry.

Crushed bones.  Anyone or anything that has been blasted into a puffy cloud.  Circuit boards.  Organs.

Wait, you guys don’t wrap your car in 3 feet of insulating plastic wrap every day?

We had a landline until the wiring got all screwed up, then Mom had to go to a phone through the cable modem (And it saves us $130/month, since she didn’t need to pay extra for a fax line, we could create one virtually).  I’d have one in the apartment here, but AT&T would try to fuse it with my fiber optic line

I really haven’t used my Netflix in a while, but my mother does.  And I use it enough to spring for the annual plan that gives me 4K streaming.  If I have to lug Mom’s TV down here every month, then she may not be able to use it anymore.  Maybe it’s time to go back to hunting down DVDs, like I do for some anime shows.

Machine gun turret.  Now, it might accidentally take out your neighbors when they chase their dog onto your lawn, but a small price to pay for security.  If you must go non-lethal, fill it with long-duration paintballs.  So even if the porch thief runs for it, they are marked for a week or two.

If I was in Michigan, $170K even now would still get you a 1200-1300 square foot house in most non-Detroit areas.  Denver is not cheap.  My uncle spent $450K on his house and that was a downsize 15 years ago.

I get the rent going up.  It’s gone up every year.  My complaint is that it’s going up FAR more than what it has ever gone up.  Even with the expected increase due to inflation, this would be double that.  I think it’s because a new company took over early last year, and they are now owners of lots of places around

Indianapolis.  It’s on the outskirts of one of the suburbs.  There are a few in the less nice downtown areas about that same price, but I would probably get burned down there.

Seeing as my rent will be going up $170 in Feb, I think you are wrong.  As for house prices, they aren’t coming down that much, they are still too high.  A $170K house should be larger than 800 square feet AND not cost me $1K/month in mortgage payments with ah $40K down payment.

Sorry, not going to Instagram, even for the promise of anime titties.

Human souls.  Everyone know supply drops starting into November.  January is the best time, as that come down from the holidays, people are in debt, they’re willing to sell cheaper.
