My 2001 Tacoma had an awesome interior double whammy. First, the clock was behind the spoke in the steering wheel, so you could only read the time while turning the wheel during a corner. Then, while you were reading the time halfway through the corner, the square cupholders (SQUARE! and very shallow) in the center

There is a recall for this.

Timing Chain design from the 4.2L V8 used in B6/B7 Audi S4.
First, you design it to where you need to pull the engine completely if you need to do maintenance.
Then you spec a chintzy plastic guide that is prone to cracking, and if said guide breaks say ‘Bye Bye’ to your engine and child’s college savings.

Side question #2:

Subaru EJ engines that have the oil filter wrapped in the exhaust manifolds, makes changing the oil of a warm engine interesting!

I don’t know what the Ringling Bros. have to do with that...

Absurdly thick a-pillars on many modern cars, in the name of rollover protection and chassis stiffness. I get the need for protection in a crash, but how about avoiding running people over?

I mean, they are Camry drivers. The drivers really probably are that bad consistently.

Pretty much any Ford from any era had some set of asinine problems that could have been avoided/corrected with little to no thought/effort.

Front wheel drive. Plain and simple.
