yeah stan started out as a total douche, but once peggy put him in his place last season he's just been awesome.

agreed.  it seemed like she was lip synching the first song, or at least relying HARD on the prerecorded back up singing, and she was pitchy for the second.

this was a terrible episode.  bullshit psa at the beginning and ANOTHER tooching photo shoot at the end.

for me, why we fight starts off the part of season 5 that i actually like.  the first half always feels sub-par.  why we fight kicks off the awesomeness of the second half

completely agree with HipsterDBag that the last 2/3rds of season 5 are best.  the first third i found to be awful on rewatch.  i feel like i was blinded by the awesomeness to come, and therefore forgot how bad the first bit of the season was

watching carnivale the second time, everytime they showed people working on the ferris wheel just felt SO ominous, since i couldn't remember when it happened
