I mean, it’s only ten bucks. It’s pocket change. But at the end of the day and likely in the eyes of the average consumer it feels like they’re handing Microsoft the W on this particular battle. Smart Delivery is looking more and more smart and you can bet they’re going to capitalize on this.

the point is normalizing the $69.99 price point. nothing else than “we want an extra $10 from you chucklefucks to line our CEO/Shareholder’s pockets, we know you will pay it, and we know some of you will even DEFEND it saying it will trickle down to our abused and ununionized staff.”

However, if Sony didn’t charge this fee, then what would be the point in anyone ever buying the PS5 version of a game?

PS4 games cost $60 and PS5 games $70. Allow me to pay the extra $10 to upgrade if I want to. Most likely I won’t and will probably buy all first party games on the PS4 because I don’t care about the minor graphics boost. I save $10 bucks and experience the same gameplay, minus the extra pretty… shrug.

I’ve never understood why Sony and Nintendo are just so anti-consumer friendly, and seem to just make everything more difficult than it needs to be.

Now to wait for the “I’m not a racist but” burners and comments who’ll bang on about the 1st even though they clearly have no fucking idea what it actually means.

I felt like TL vs. LFY was the real Grand Finals - Newbee was playing so poorly in Grand Finals that I think LFY would’ve swept them 3-0 as well. A lot of obviously poor resource management and overextensions from the Newbee team that LFY didn’t exhibit during the losers final this morning.

it Let me remind everyone that while Steam should at the very least tell him why his game was pulled from Steam, this is not censorship in any way, shape or form as Eek’s game was not banned by the government and he can still have his game ready for download on any other website that he chooses. Eek making changes to

I would approve of this critique more if “betas” hadn’t become slang for “Marketing gimmick”
I was a Playstation Beta tester for a couple of years and we were actually beta testers. We had access to some dev tools for bug tracking and reporting. We signed NDAs...these aren’t “Betas” there’re server load testing

It’s kind of sad that people want things to be so simple. Shotguns are always moaned about because they expect their assault rifles to work at all ranges and win every fight they put themselves into.

It’s not really months old they’re just trying to cover their asses. Have betas become nothing but glorified demos now? Yeah but why in the hell would demo months old code when you are trying to sell people on your game?Notice how no other developer has ever mentioned this when talking about a game. Bungie has

Because we’re not “testing” anything. It’s a marketing gimmick meant to sell preorders, nothing more.

Apologies if there’s an obvious answer to this, but if the public beta build is “pretty old”, why are we testing it?

It’s a 3 year running joke with Bungie/Destiny.

I mean, the thing that makes Destiny Destiny is the PvE. I know they want engaging PvP to hold people over between PvE content, but it’s hamstringing the core of the game.

“We felt that Warlocks really needed a huge boost in Destiny 2, and they’ll get it! Meanwhile, Titans and Hunters really needed to be brought down a few notches, because fuck you, that’s why.”

-Bungie

I legit think the new weapon system is awful. All I have to do to kick ass in the Crucible is grab a Titan or a Warlock and load myself up with two automatic weapons, and everyone dies.

I agree that gamers are playing a big part towards the overall devolution of the gaming industry. However, on a game by game basis, they are not to blame for the fall of ME:A. Mismanagement and a staff of people whom were WOEFULLY underqualified to work on a AAA title is what lead to the fall of this game.

Gamers didn’t kill it. The people who made the game so that it didn’t make enough money are solely to blame.
