The A.V. Club chatted up Leggero and Lindhome…

Gattaca

Not that this series was ever gangbusters, so to speak, but such a dip in quality after only two episodes, and, really, not even so much a dip as the characters just acting more like themselves, i.e. clueless, insufferable, and in the case of what happened to Randy, complete psychopaths, made me go back to the "TV

Skipped this because the ads and previews for this made it seem like a dick-measuring contest between especially bro-ed-up brothers egged on by their criminal and genealogical matriarch, but the review and comments seem mostly positive, so will give this a shot, especially as summer pickings are slim.

It was obvious going into FJ that Hunter would have to wager large to defend against Dana, yet it never fails that after a correct response and that large and completely predictable wager is revealed, the audience oohs & ahs as if the champ had just pulled off some miraculous, unexpected feat like yanking a rabbit out

Very much appreciate this perspective on why the Tony's are very much a show in the best sense while other awards programs feel like a dutiful running down a not particularly exciting or coordinated checklist.

Did not see this as most awards show seem interminable to me, but after reading Noel's touching review and the praise of commenters, am going to have to look this up and see what an actually entertaining awards show is like.

Was trying to recall what part he played and confused him for an alien trade ambassador played by James Cromwell.

The last time I visited NY was in the late 90s and my buddies and I ran into an L&O film crew and saw Ben Bratt in a camelhair coat looking very chiseled and tall.

It's grown on me too, in a Lost Girl sort of way, and it amuses me to no end that Black Badge division has jurisdiction in the U.S. AND Canada.

Why did the AVC stop coverage?

As opposed to, "Are you happy, people?" which is just sarcastic and mean.

Maybe it helps not to be familiar with the source material like I was.

Not an SO but a close and otherwise highly respected friend recommended The Fountainhead, though in her defense she's a very individualistic artist and not a political theorist.

Would replacing "gas" with "compound" or "chemical" have satisfied your objection?

Mark holding nothing back and doubling up on his DD from so far behind—the absolutely correct move in that situation but so rarely done that it must be noted and praised—and then biffing that last clue to let Hunter slip away with the lock would have been heartbreaking if he had been the only one to get FJ.

He may be doing 21s, in which case 20 lbs would be plenty.

That was clearly Ellis' intent. You cannot read the novel and not come away with that.

"Underground feminism caves"…?

I listened to rather than read Better Angels, so i don't know what references he cited, but having actually read his other books, am fairly confident that he did have a reference, though what that was and how credible it is I can't say.
