It's absolutely fantastic that SF was able to pull this off. But, at the same time, if we could treat each other like this ALL THE TIME and not just when a child is near death, well, what an amazing place the world might be. In a good way.

Any voltage drop across that cable is dissipated as heat, so in a lightning strike the huge amount of potential across a less than optimal cable could easily cause a fire. Yeah, not so much. That was a Cummins / Dept. of Energy project that just happened to be using the existing Titan as a testbed. Probably won't see the light of day for many years, certainly not in any vehicle that's on the road today.

I can't see someone who can't be bothered to take five minutes to stick a pressure gauge on their tires, downloading an app and going out to their vehicle to take pictures of their tires. Now, if you made it a game, maybe.
