I couldn’t tell you about my enslaved ancestors BUT I can tell you about my maternal grandparents, who both died before I was born (grandparents are technically ancestors). They were black, southern-baptist creoles who lived in rural Louisiana during Jim Crow.

If I understand correctly, the idea behind dual pricing was not to hurt white people but to help people who don’t have the same privilege as whites.

A white woman governor signed the bill into law. I believe a white woman wrote it. When you look at anti-abortion protests, the bulk of people there are white women. This is by no means a breaking point for white women. 

Lord have mercy. Apparently critical thinking is hard.

It's important to have limits on your empathy.  You wouldn't want to be too forgiving of someone accidentally.
