Except the Earth not being flat is as clear as day, everyone can see that. However, because of the many private interests involved in the pharmaceutical industry, whether you are aware of it or not, it may very well end up like Monsanto’s influence on your food, if you look into it, there is a reason why people would

many anti anti vaxxers don’t want their loved ones to die because you believe a fantasy

No, at this point nothing she does will stop people like you from criticizing her.

Alright one more. You sucked me in. A more accurate comparison is if someone said “A book had never been written about the mating habits of Bigfoot”. I doubt that book exists, but there would be nothing wrong with adding “that I’m aware of”.

You think people who choose not to vaccinate their kids trust the FDA and the CDC?

Wrong. It’s exactly what I have been saying. You wanted to argue something else just to argue. Grow up buddy. Have a good night.

I get most of my income from marketing and advertising vaccines. So it won’t surprise you that my kids are completely up to date on their vaccinations. However, I see Stein’s revised statement as the truer one. It is a Shrodinger’s Cat argument. She does not know if information that links vaccines to autism exists.

Commentors and their google search know all...

Again, that you are aware of. There is nothing wrong with phrasing it in the most accurate way. It’s just not a big deal.

There is nothing unprincipled about claiming that the people who don’t vaccinate their kids do so because they don’t trust the FDA.

She said it in the appropriate way. It’s really not a big deal.

I agree. Apparently so does she.

So she has deleted a handful of public tweets. I often rethink my public posts, too. It’s not like she deleted, oh, over 31,000 emails that she had been ordered to hand over to the government — and then wiped the server (“like, with a cloth?”).

You don’t understand what flip flopping is, do you?

Agreed. The way that a careful scientist would — indeed, the way we were trained to frame things in my research methods class in graduate school.

My thought exactly. She fixed the wording to allow for the possibility that there is something she wasn’t aware of.

Saying that regulators should not be tied to the industries that they regulate is NOT the same thing as discrediting vaccines. At all. We *should* have better separation between industry and regulators. To acknowledge that the existing regulatory conflicts of interest might be tied to unfortunate skepticism of

She did what every scientist does, dumbass. Just because you are not aware of something does not mean that you discount the possibility of its existence.

That you are aware of.
