I had a Gen1 Volt and Spark EV, the Spark handles terribly while the Volt was better but not by much. Which is why after buying 2 GM cars I decided to not buy another.

Like the fraction of population that actually buy cars with manual transmission, people going to the track are a tiny fraction of the car buying public, even smaller within EV drivers’ rank, so that’s really not a consideration.
