Former Cayman S owner here. I know exactly how you feel though my GTI is tall enough for me to get in & out comfortably. There are days I miss my Cayman though, A LOT.

Lithium titanate batteries will be the solution. Only issue is size and voltage. My company supplies a key component and I believe breakthroughs will come in incremental yet positive steps.

Will we be able to buy this from retired police fleet in a few years?

Chinese Type 55 “destroyer” could be a viable threat.

And I’ve nope’d out of Toyota.

LS swap candidate?

Does anyone else think that Trump might be having mini-strokes while he garbles his speech?

There’s a shortage of long haul truck drivers. My company ships close to two hundred thousand metric tons of products annually, most via trucks, and it's been more difficult than ever before in booking transportation.

You’ve never had a BMW, have you?

If it hits high priced real estate region (like DC/VA), I’m sure the cost will be higher than the Carolinas.

4th gear: Faraday will most likely never deliver a single car.

It’s too bad the price for this will probably be out of most Jalop’s range.

I had a Gen1 Volt and Spark EV, the Spark handles terribly while the Volt was better but not by much. Which is why after buying 2 GM cars I decided to not buy another.

Exactly.

I’m surprised nobody thought he was having a mini stroke. That’s what my uncle sounded like when he had his “small, tiny stroke”.

I’m old enough to remember John McEnroe’s temper on the court, and he was WAY more of a dick back then and got away with MUCH more shit than Serena has.

GEICO quoted more than 2X on a Tesla 3 vs my GTI. I will be shopping around when the time comes, but I assumed EVs are more expensive to fix due to parts costs (battery replacement).

I don’t think so. Have you seen the latest sales numbers? X1 is actually the king.

Like the fraction of population that actually buy cars with manual transmission, people going to the track are a tiny fraction of the car buying public, even smaller within EV drivers’ rank, so that’s really not a consideration.

Can you help me understand why Jaguar uses a larger battery pack yet gets worse range vs Tesla?
