I use prepaid plans and currently use a $200 Huawei Android phone + $300/year prepaid Mint (T-Mobile MVNO) plan. This works out to $25/month for 10GB LTE / unlimited everything else. The phone should work for a couple of years easy and just upgraded to Oreo so my total out of pocket for 2 years will be $800 all in.

I don’t get this. Undocumented aliens are not eligible for welfare, so why is this even a talking point? I have had foreign coworkers from Australia or Europe who worked here for a few years, paid social security (even though they’ll never see a dime of it back) and Medicare (again, never will get to see a penny of

I don’t quite get it: I lost 4 inches on my waist and didn’t have an issue with mine. Just cut an inch at a time.

The belts are stiffer than traditional leather belts, but they go on my waist pretty easily and the fit is terrific.

You know what? I get 36MPG on my GTI easily if I stick with 65MPH.

Oh and don’t over-oil when stir frying, that’s one mistake everyone makes at home because the take-outs are so oily. The cooking conditions are way different so the amount of oil should be a lot less as well, unless you have restaurant-grade gas stove for flash stir fry.

My secret to a perfect fried rice for short grain rice is this:

I have a friend who takes only a carry-on with enough clothing for 2 nights, and buys what he needs when he lands at destination. He would then use a duffel bag (that’s packed with the carry-on) and check that duffel on the way home. If the duffel is lost, his credit card + airline reimbursement more than covers what

It’s Kristen from HR.

Why couldn’t the cops ask for the white student’s ID? Or did they do that?

Pistol grip shotguns for home defense is a no go for me - ergonomics doesn’t make sense.

Clio may appreciate this: Elaine Chao came from a family that is atypical of most Asian American immigrant families. Her ancestors didn’t slave away on railroads, her parents didn’t own a Chinese take out or a dry clean and work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Elaine is more like those rich Chinese kids I saw a USC

What about that Chrysler 2-door thing called Crossfire that was based on MB SLK? At least an honorable mention right?

“If short-selling demand continues to grow at this pace, short sellers will feel the angst that Tesla Model 3 buyers are feeling — with demand outstripping supply,” Ihor Dusaniwsky, an S3 Partners managing director, wrote in a report Friday.

This sounds like how many Chinese-American owned businesses operate here at home: they’ll hire Chinese nationals at pitiful low wages, help them get their green card (PR, permanent resident card), and then proceed to threaten them with deportation if they don’t continue to work hard. After a few years when the PR

I remember when a competitor of mine went public a few years ago. Naysayers overwhelmed the forums at Seeking Alpha, and I bought into some of the arguments about the potential liability and didn’t buy when it was $3/share. It went to $58/share less than 24 months later.

I remember painting my S2000's calipers red, what a pain that was (to get it right). And now it’s standard on regular family haulers....

This is the kind of good kinja I like to see.

Well, knock on wood, almost 60K and nary a problem otherwise. I really like the car, just hate the sunroof.

Yep.
