It’s so wild to me because it seems that when dumbasses say stuff like “No one cared about racism in 2018! Getting mad at white people for having antebellum themed parties or doing blackface or getting married on plantations is 2021 energy!”... they really mean it. They are so insulated from black people that they

I still have this on DVD from 20 years ago. I don’t even own a DVD player anymore.

Current me: Huh, could be cool.

5th-grader me: OH FUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

No need for Chianti jokes. Hanibal Lecter is not a character in the show.

Shout out to LW1 for being so understanding, because if I was the parent of a teenager who was stealing my sex toys, I would simply walk into the ocean.

To the Weeknd’s credit, you should also subtract all the child molesting.

Even in the Marvel-era, with both The Avengers and Avengers: Endgame being “must see in theaters” tentpoles — and Endgame being the most audience-reaction experience I’ve ever had (very different than 1980s late-night NYC movie-going or Rocky Horror which is by design) — Spider-Man 2 may still be on the list of the

Whenever Cyborg’s not on screen, the other characters ask “where the fuck is Cyborg?”

Not the direction I expected a Firefly follow-up series to go in, but okay. 🤷‍♂️

I hope she gets all the support she needs, along with all other victims of his abuse.

I watched the movie depicted in the header image and it was pretty dumb. I left more thoughts (https://film.avclub.com/1846167468) in the review article for the movie, which was not good enough to bother retyping them here :).

I gave WW84 a rewatch. The more I think about it the madder I get about it. It’s so frustrating that they bungled the live action debut of Cheetah. I really shouldn’t have been surprised that the movie stumbled with Barbara Minerva when it’s precedent set by the comics & cartoons.

I’m very curious if they’ll actually use this to go into how monumentally selfish Tony was. “Yeah, Monica, you’ll never see your mother again, but that’s a price I was willing to make you pay so my daughter could exist.”

At this point, the Snyder Cut can only improve upon the first film’s extremely rocky legacy.

They could release a Marvel-Star Wars-Firefly crossover movie tomorrow and I still wouldn’t go into a movie theater.

Honestly, there’s a lot to like, it’s just seriously uneven.

if it haunts me every cursed day may it haunt all of us too

I finished The Mandalorian but I’m keeping the Disney+ subscription for another month, so I decided to watch some of the MCU stuff. Not that I’ve never seen any of it, but I’m a casual viewer at best (first Iron Man, first Avengers, Black Panther... Deadpool is technically part of the MCU, right?). Picked Captain

Do you mean Sam climbing through Clarissa’s window on Clarissa Explains It All?

Some notes, on our way to the great white room beyond.
