The first episode was such a departure from what I expected that I was very miffed and disappointed. Perrin’s poor wife.

To my surprise, they changed a lot of things I didn’t expect in the first WoT episode, but those changes worked for me, and they kept some things true to the books and I was...put off by them.
The True Lies thing popped into my head as soon as I read that line, as well. That show had to be a cesspool (and the anecdotes cited suggest it was) to be as gross as that movie's set.
THanks for asking how I spent my pop culture weekend. That was really thoughtful of you.
I saw all of then except for Order of the Phoenix, and didn’t read any of them until 2008, when I read all of the books and was unimpressed. But they matter so much to so many people that I kept assuming I missed something.
Tell us about your Pop Culture Weekend? Sure.
Dont worry. She can call Comcast and they'll set her up with a special channel on the set top box that will let her catch her new stories. Only an extra $50 a month for the convenience.
We’re on Halloween number 4 with my small humans, so I didn’t watch anything new this weekend. My small humans did watch Curious George: A Halloween Boofest, as is their want.
I definitely started watching Final Girls this month and didn't make it into the meat of the movie. I should remedy that before it leaves Hulu (if that's what's happening).
How was my pop culture weekend? Thanks so much for asking!
Twitter of Time, as it styles itself, is convinced we'll be seeing a blend of books 0-2 in season 1. Moraine is very much expected to be the focus, at present.
His role in the series always required more physical appearance (though, not necessarily physicality, because of green screens) and he managed to look the part of an arrogant, talented magician. I always want him to find redemption as an actor. I hope this is it.
Holy shit, if as alleged, I don't want to actually like the show. I found it charming and fun, but fuck.
Dd you not keep watching for the end credit stinger? They’re calling it the "Paul Initiative."
I’m mostly surprised it is going on longer than Treadstone managed, since I remembered them being the same show.

Probably doesn’t count: we sneaked into [redacted] in our local country club and watched Scream. I hadn’t seen it yet, and we were more scared one of the wait staff would find us than I was of Ghostface.
I had wondered the same. New articles clearly exist, but aren’t on the AV club. Yet another reason to, I guess, stop looking for kinja notifications.
Did I watch anything this weekend? I feel like I didn’t.
I’ve skipped every piece of hype so far but I’ve been reading the series for 20 years. I’m thrilled to be able to see it on the screen, and don’t want to see any of the analysis in advance that I know will depress me.
